Our church is the home of Boy Scout Troop 806, Cub Scout Pack 806, and Girl Scout Troop 11390.
BOY SCOUTS TROOP 806
Our troop has made a $100 deposit to go to the Scout Campagazana at MoraineState Park, for the 100 year of Scouting anniversary the weekend of Sept. 24-26. The public is welcome to come on Sat., Sept. 25. They are expecting around 10,000 boys, cubs, venture scouts and families.
We will be having another book sale in the church social hall on September 23-25.Donations of books (no textbooks please) for the sale would be appreciated.Books can be left in the social hall by the coat rack.
The troop has 12 boys at this time. We meet on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Boys 10 1/2 to 18 years of age are welcome to join.

JOIN CUB SCOUTS
All boys in 1st through 5th grade are welcomed to join Cub Scout Pack 806, which meets on Wednesday nights (during the school year) at FirstUnited Methodist Church. Pack 806 has an exciting set of activities throughout the year including camping, sports, a fishing derby, service projects, Pinewood Derby race, and marching in EllwoodCity’s parades. Pack 806 held its annual Family Picnic at EwingPark on Wednesday, July 14th and a sizable contingent of Scouts and parents attended resident camp at Agawam the week of August 9th. The weather was hot and humid and there were some pretty big thunderstorms on the last night, but everyone had a really great time. Highlights of the Medieval Times-themed camp included swimming, BB gun and archery shooting, row boating on the lake, capture the flag games, campfires and jousting! We also went on a hike at McConnellsMillState Park on Wednesday, August 18th.
Scout teams from Pack 806 have also begun working on building their homemade race cars/yard carts for the "Billy Cart" derby which will be held on Saturday, October 2nd. Pack 806 will resume their regular weekly meeting schedule beginning Wednesday, September 8th.
