ALL DISTRICT MEN'S RETREAT
February 10-12, 2012
This is a spiritually uplifting weekend at Jumonville Retreat Center with keynote speaker, Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton. The cost is $120 and includes 2 nights lodging, all meals and all programs. Registration and a $60 deposit are due by January 31. Cost for Saturday only is $20. Financial aid is available through the Jumonville financial aid fund. SUNDAY SCHOOL WORKSHOP
The Sunday School teachers and members of the Education Committee have expressed the desire to hold a time of continuing education and enrichment. The Conference has a very enthusiastic professional who provides this service, and more, for local churches. The Rev. Rebecca Innerst is the Director of Discipleship and Christian Spiritual Formation. She is available to help with age level resourcing for local church leadership, provide support for discipleship ministries and help the local church plan and prepare small group ministries including Sunday School. She will be visiting us and providing a workshop for the teachers and committee on Thursday, February 16, from 6:30-9 p.m. She is excited about meeting us and helping us solidify our ministry as a team!
MOM’S GROUP
The monthly Mom's Group will be held on Tuesday, February 21. We are moving our starting time to 7:30 p.m. to give our members time to eat and clean up at the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. We welcome any women of the church to come join us.
CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Will be held on Sundays: March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1
Classes will be held at the church from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and are open to youth in grades five and older. Pizza will be provided each week.
The Young People must attend four of the five sessions and attend a Confirmation Trip to the Conference Center of Western PA Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in order to join the church.
Confirmands will be joining on Easter Sunday, April 8. Please call the church office at 724-758-6278 or see Pastor Jim if you would like to part of the class. We are looking forward to an exciting time.
BUTLER DISTRICT LAY MINISTRY SCHOOL

The following classes will be available: Mission Outreach, creating Faith Communities, Lay Pastoral Care Giving, Basic Lay Speaking and Lay Preaching. The cost to attend the classes is $27 and the registration deadline is February 14. More information is available from Rev. Jim.

The summer camping forms have arrived and are available in the narthex. It’s not too early to start thinking about this wonderful opportunity! There is financial assistance also available – talk to Treasurer Sandy Miller for more information.
