          EVANGELISM AND MISSIONS

The Commission on Evangelism and Missions will be working on three special mission projects through-out 2012.  Each month we will be concentrating on a special mission and ask the congregation to help with these local mission projects.  The three projects are: Mission Barn, Food Bank and People in Need.

We will have what is needed for each agency in the newsletter and the weekly bulletin.  Also, we will let the congregation know what each group does for people in our town, country and through-out the world.

In February we will be concentrating on the Mission Barn in East Brook.  Rev. Nelson Thayer, the Minister of the East Brook Methodist Church and manager of the Mission Barn gave us a list of items needed now for the barn.

        1)  School kits: children's scissors, rulers (foot long with cm markings), erasers (2" long)

        2)  Birthing kits: all parts are needed.

        3)  Cleaning kits: all parts are needed.

In March we will be concentrating on the Food Bank.  All varieties of food, personal care products and paper products are needed.

In April we will be helping People in Need.  They are always in need of diapers, baby wipes and baby clothes (up to one year).

The rest of the year we will be rotating the list and share what is needed for the various mission projects.  Let's get together and share Jesus' message of love and care for all mankind.
